Do you ship to my state?
We ship to most US states. A small number are not currently served — for legal and structural reasons that have nothing to do with the post office. If checkout will not accept your address, that is why. Write to us if you would like to know when it changes.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. US domestic only for now. We are looking into international options, but we want to do it properly — honest shipping rates, a clear returns process — rather than quickly. Send us a note if you are abroad and would like to know when that opens.
How long does shipping take?
In-stock items typically ship within 1–3 business days. Bespoke Bindery items are made to order and ship within 5–10 business days. A tracking email follows the order out the door.
What if my order arrives damaged or gets lost?
Write to curator@thebespokebibliophile.com within 14 days of delivery and we will take care of it. Include the order number, and a photo if something arrived damaged.
What is your return policy?
Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery for items in original condition — books unread. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or we sent the wrong thing. Bindery items are final sale except in cases of manufacturing defects. Refunds reach the original payment method within 5–7 business days of our receiving the return. To start one, write to curator@thebespokebibliophile.com.
Do you offer gifting?
Yes. Several items in The Curiosity Cabinet are arranged specifically as gifts, and any item in the shop can be sent as one. Leave a message in the order notes at checkout and we will include a handwritten card. Gift wrapping is not currently offered, but everything is packed as though it is going somewhere that matters — because it is.
How do you choose what to stock?
By reading, mostly. Each collection has its own sourcing logic — the Special Editions Shelf prioritizes editions that earn their production, the Nostalgia Shelf leans on titles whose cultural relevance has not faded, the Reading Room follows the conversation in reading communities. The shelf is audited deliberately for diversity: at least 30% of book SKUs by authors of color, at least 15% by LGBTQ+ authors, and a meaningful portion featuring disabled authors or protagonists. This is checked before every catalog update.
How long do Bespoke Bindery orders take?
Bindery items are printed on demand. They are not sitting in a warehouse — they are made when you order them. Production and shipping typically take 5–10 business days. A tracking number follows the order out.
Can I reach a human?
Yes. curator@thebespokebibliophile.com is the only address, and it is read by hand. We aim to respond within two business days. No chat bot, no ticketing queue.
Is the site accessible?
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards: alt text on images, keyboard navigation, captioned media where applicable. If something on the site is difficult to use or missing an accessibility feature, write to us. We take it seriously.
