A Note from The Curator

The Curator

Welcome to The Bespoke Bibliophile.

Mind the third shelf on the left — the one with the green ribbon. Those are the books I have been meaning to recommend to someone, and you may as well be the someone. The cabinet beyond it holds a few things that are not strictly books: a journal bound this winter, a deck of cards, a small brass key I keep meaning to find the lock for.

The lamp in the back room is on most evenings. The kettle is usually warm. If you wander long enough, you will find a slip of paper tucked beside a spine — a note, in my hand, on why this edition rather than that one, or which author belongs in the same breath as another. Take the note. Leave the book if it isn’t for you. I will know.

Write to me at curator@thebespokebibliophile.com if you are looking for something specific, or for something you cannot quite name. I am better at the second kind.
